Pub Crawl Kings History

Damon and Jesse PTPCIt was the year 2007. Damon and Jesse had been friends since around 2nd grade, and were having a lot of fun being roommates for the first time. They had just watched the YouTube video “My New Haircut” and were enthralled. They decided to have a “My New Haircut Pub Crawl”. It just happened to be the Saturday after Thanksgiving, and that year about 20 people showed up to the event. All had a wonderful time and it was decided to continue. The original crawl started at Fabulous Ferns on Selby.

In 2008, the route changed, and started at the Eagle Street Bar and Grille on West 7th. This was another good turnout with about 40 people. This was a nice increase from the prior year. In 2009, Damon took on the Pub Crawl alone as Jesse had other obligations to attend to. It was still another successful year for the PTPC, with another increase in numbers to about 60. 2010 brought Jesse and Damon back together to tackle the crawl. This was also the first year that T-Shirts were introduced. The start also changed to the Lowertown Bulldog, but they kept the bars that had been staples since 2008.

Numbers this year were in the 90′s and was immensely successful and fun! In 2011 Damon and Jesse decided to switch the start to the Gopher Bar on West 7th and Wacouta! Once again, they kept the same bars as previous years. It was another successful year with numbers in the 90′s again and the first year that outside advertising was used. This was also the first year of the iconic kazoos!

2012: Unknown, but destined to be much bigger! We have started earlier, created this website and have more knowledge and experience. We have also decided to team up with a large marketing company to help expand the horizons of the pub crawl! We will be donating 50% of our proceeds to the following charities: Blair’s Tree of Hope and St. Patrick’s Association of St. Paul. Two charitable organizations we believe in.

We sincerely hope to see you out and about and we look forward to coming up with new and exciting ideas for 2013!
